In a little over two short years, an organization based out of Broward County has been working hard to help empower the young Latino men. They have quickly become a staple in providing education and vital services exclusively to the Latino community that so desperately needed them. The name of this organization is called Latinos Salud. We had a moment to sit with the Executive Director of Latinos Salud, Stephen J. Fallon, Ph.D., and have him share with us how it all began and how one can get involved.
Every year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. This period marks a time in which we all celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. It began in 1968, when President Lyndon Johnson instituted Hispanic Heritage Week. Then, in 1988, President Ronald Reagan proposed to expand it to cover a 30day period starting on September 15. Eventually, it was enacted into law on August 17, 1988.

The mother of two is also known for her work on the big screen in a number of projects. This year marks a huge milestone as the sultry Mexicana celebrates 30 years in showbiz. And what better way to celebrate than on the road? Ms. León is teaming up with Club Papi and Granda Entertainment for a six city exclusive gay tour. I recently had a chance to get up close and personal with the multi-talented artist.
Score Bar - South Beach
This year, Score Bar, a staple on South Beach's Lincoln Road celebrates 12 years of providing quality nightlife to the gay and lesbian community of South Florida. It joins a select few gay establishments with such longevity. It's secret? An intense love and labor put into the business by its team and its loyal patrons. We took a moment with Luis Morera from Score to share a little of their story and future plans.
Welcome to Latino Boys Magazine Travel Edition! As South Floridians, we often get to enjoy from the wonderful destinations in our own backyard. However, sometimes it's nice to just get out and explore what exotic destinations have to offer. The good thing is that we don't have to go too far.
For many of us in South Florida, taking a vacation in the Caribbean is actually a time when we return to our roots. Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, The Bahamas, Jamaica and the more than 7,000 islands that surround the Caribbean Sea was home to us or our relatives. Many of these islands share similar traits and the islands offer beautiful environments and tropical climates. Check out these three destinations.
