PrideFest In Palm Beach County

Compass GLCC presenta la Pridefest anual de Palm Beach, el sábado y el domingo 23 y 24de marzo, con un concierto especial de Gioia Bruno de Expose.
En 1986 Carmen Gioia Bruno dio una audición para un grupo en la Florida y se trasladó allí. Al llevar a cabo un concierto en la discoteca Gee Wiz en Miami, Florida, se le acercó Frank Díaz, de Pantera Enterprises Group, quien le ofreció un papel en Exposé. Después de más de nueve meses intentando reclutarla, Bruno finalmente aceptó la oferta y terminó uniéndose al grupo. Bruno cantó en los singles Let Me Be The One, What You don´t Know, y Tell Me Why. Ella estuvo de gira con el grupo entre 1986 y 1990. Cuando Exposé reformó en 2006, volvió al grupo por primera vez en quince años.
El tema del evento este año celebra United Colors of Pride y atrae a miles de personas del sur de la Florida y la Costa del Tesoro. Más de 140 empresas locales será un escaparate de todo, incluyendo una amplia variedad de alimentos, tiendas de especialidades locales, joyería, arte, y muchas organizaciones. Junto con el patrocinador Wells Fargo, otros patrocinadores este año son McGladrey, Royal Palm Mazda, Sun-Sentinel, Hotspots, y Revista Genre Latino, South Florida Gay News, Don Todorich, Mark´s List, ID Lube, CommCare Farmacia, Roosters, Wild 95.5, Live Nation y muchos más.
El Gran Desfile del domingo comenzará a las 11:30 horas en South L Street y Lucerne Avenue y seguirá en Lake Avenue hacia Bryant Park.

Compass GLCC presents the annual Pridefest of the Palm Beaches on Saturday and Sunday March 23 and 24, which this year features headliner Gioia Bruno from Expose.
In 1986 Carmen Gioia Bruno auditioned for a group in Florida and relocated there. When performing at the Gee Wiz nightclub in Miami, Florida, she was approached by Frank Diaz, of Pantera Group Enterprises, who offered her a role in Exposé. After over nine months of recruitment attempts, Bruno finally accepted the offer and ended up joining the group. Bruno sang lead on the Exposé singles Let Me Be The One, What You Don't Know, and Tell Me Why. She toured with the group between 1986 and 1990. When Exposé reformed in 2006, she returned to the group for the first time in fifteen years.
The event’s theme this year celebrates United Colors of Pride and attracts thousands of people from South Florida and the Treasure Coast. More than 140 local businesses will showcase everything including a wide array of foods, local specialty stores, jewelry, art, and many non-profit organizations. Sunday’s Grand Parade will begin at 11:30am at South L Street and Lucerne Avenue and continue down Lake Avenue to Bryant Park.
