Comienza la temporada de Pride aquí en el sur de la Florida. Este mes de marzo, Genre Latino te trae toda la información para planear tu mes, y con mucho orgullo.
En Miami, a principios del mes, participamos en una de las fiestas más grandes del año, Winter Party Festival, casi una semana entera de fiestas por todas partes de la ciudad.
El mismo fin de semana, en Fort Lauderdale, tenemos el South Florida Pridefest en el Holiday Park. La mejor noticia de Pridefest es la vuelta del desfile Pride, que ha desaparecido en los últimos años. Pero este año, regresa. Todo se lleva a cabo en el Holiday Park de Fort Lauderdale, y si planes llegar, vas a disfrutarlo mucho. Nos traen mucha música y diversión con comida, bebidas, y un expo en el War Memorial que dura dos días.
A finales del mes de marzo, tenemos el Pridefest of the Palm Beaches, el festival que se lleva a cabo en Lake Worth, y es la oportunidad para todos que viven en Palm Beach County mostrar su orgullo de ser gay o de apoyar los miembros de la familia gay. No lo faltes, el 23 y 24 de marzo en el Bryant Park de Lake Worth.
Además de traerles toda la información de los festivales, este mes también tenemos una entrevista especial con el cantante famosísimo Elvis Crespo. El hecho de que un cantante de su calibre haría una entrevista con una revista gay muestra cuanto ha cambiado los tiempos desde hace solo unos añitos en la lucha de los derechos de los gays aquí en los Estados Unidos, sobre todo en la comunidad latina.
Disfrute del mes de marzo y todas las fiestas, no vemos en abril cuando vemos la vuelta de Miami Beach Gay Pride. ¡Qué te diviertas!
Pride season begins here in South Florida. This month, Genre Latino brings you all of the information to make your plans, and we take great pride in bringing it to you.
In Miami, early this month, we will participate in one of the biggest parties of the year, Winter Party Festival, which brings an entire week of festivities all over town.
That same weekend, in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida Pridefest happens in Holiday Park. The best news is the return of the Pride Parade, which has disappeared in recent years. But this year, it´s back. Everything takes place at the Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale, and if you plan on going, you are sure to enjoy it. They are bringing us lots of music and fun; with food, drinks, and an expo at the War Memorial that lasts two days.
In late March, we have the Pridefest of the Palm Beaches, the festival that takes place in Lake Worth and is an opportunity for all who live in Palm Beach County show their pride in being gay or supporting gay family members. Don´t miss it: March 23 and 24 at Bryant Park in Lake Worth.
Besides bringing you all the details of the pride festivals, this month we also have a special interview with famous singer Elvis Crespo. The fact that a singer of his caliber would do an interview with a gay magazine shows just how much times have changed in such a few short years in the struggle for gay rights here in the United States, especially in the Latino community.
