Adora: Yes, it's amazing. Apart from the fact that it could have been made yesterday instead of in 1987, it's so fierce. Why was it pulled out of the exhibition?
2011 is off to a great start for Adelina Anthony, a self-identified Xicana-Indígena lesbian multi-disciplinary artista. Well, that's because she recently sold-out her entire run in Los Angeles and is now gearing up for shows in Berkeley, California and San Antonio, Texas. Clearly, Adelina has struck a chord with audiences across the nation. Her shows include everything from personal experiences to topics directly affecting the gay community.
And the world gives birth to yet another baby year with the hopes and promises that it will be better than the last. Speaking of babies, my sister just had a baby girl making me an uncle for the second time! I am so glad this crusade is over so I don't have to hear the stories about chocolate ice cream with sardine cravings or the whole “I was in labor for 600 hours without pain killers!” I keep arguing with her about how it is far more painful to get your junk stuck in your zipper when putting your pants on. I don't have babies myself, but I used to make up for it by dating lots of drunk guys.
Newcomer Philly has hit a high note with critics and audiences across the country. Well, that's because the singing sensation released his debut album Lights Camera Action on December 17th to rave reviews. The New York native is now focusing on his upcoming North American tour which will kick off this year. I recently chatted with the 21 year old who told me about the success of his single, who he's written songs for and what he really thinks about Ricky Martin's coming out.
