Music mastermind Tony Moran has been spinning records and producing music for over two decades. His long list of accomplishments includes collaborations with the late Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan, Cher and Celine Dion to name a few. The New York native began his career in music when he teamed up with producer Albert Carrera and formed The Latin Rascals. This dynamic duo mixed beats with a splash of their Latin heritage into a freestyle mix of club music. The outcome was the chart topping Show Me by the Cover Girls. When Tony isn't busy in the studio re-mixing songs, the openly gay DJ finds himself traveling around the globe and playing music at some of the biggest gay circuit parties in the country. Here's my chat with the two-time Grammy nominee.

Thanksgiving is upon us and there is plenty to be thankful for! Maybe you can be thankful for your family? Or perhaps your friends? Your health? A good job? A good man? Or maybe all of the above! Whatever it is, be sure to be thankful and enjoy the events below.
She sings, acts, dances and models. It’s clear that Kaya Jones can do it all. Her career catapulted to stardom in 2003 when she hit the music scene with The Pussycat Dolls. After three successful years with PCD, Kaya left the group to pursue a solo career. Over the years, she’s worked on various projects, which includes the smash hit “Take It Off” with Regi, the top DJ in Belgium. This multi-talented artist has recorded a new song called “Boyfriend” with a catchy chorus that says “My boyfriend’s got a boyfriend now”. I recently got candid with Kaya and we dished about the tour, her Spanish speaking skills and why she’s so passionate about the gay community.
October is one of my favorite times of the year! I feel fortunate to have my health and a balanced life when I turn 30 this month and it also brings about one of my favorite celebrations, Halloween. As a geek, I find the history of Halloween, or All Hallows Eve, quite interesting, but as a creature of the night, I encourage you all to check out the special events this month.
Chances are you probably know fashion designer Nick Verreos from his numerous TV appearances. These include a stint as a contestant on the second season of Project Runway or the show stopping dresses from his very own fashion line, Nikolaki. When Nick isn't busy dressing some of Hollywood's biggest stars, you can find the multi-talented designer teaching technical sketching and draping/pattern drafting at FIDM in Los Angeles. However, before Nick began his career in fashion, he had his sights set on studying Political Science and International Relations at UCLA. I recently caught up with Nick and here is what he had to say.
Adora: Teddy, are we going to Miami Beach's “Sleepless Night” arts festival on November 5th? It's such a huge event that it only comes around every two years and I don't want to miss it. It's a whole night of celebrating the arts in all of its forms, all over the beach.
Teddy: Yes! I love Sleepless Night and I'm so tired when it's over. People come from all over the world to share this special night. Octavio Campos told me his group, Campositions, is doing the Pig Show, a celebration of freedom, through the eyes of a gay pig stuck in a twisted story of the 50th Anniversary of the Bay of Pigs.
One of my favorite times of the year is here, Hispanic Heritage Month. Although I was born in the United States, when asked where I'm from, I proudly state that I am of Hispanic origin with parents that are Cuban and Puerto Rican. Of course, that's a mouthful! However, it best describes who I am and how I feel about my roots. I connect with the Spanish language, the Latin music and the culture overall. And, this is a great time to celebrate it! If you're feeling like you need to reconnect with the Latin community, be sure to check out some of the events below.
