What inspired you to become a DJ?
I was always into music and had been trained on playing the piano and drums since I was seven years old. I happened to stumble into it when I was 12 because of a friend who was also a DJ. He was so surprised on how quickly I took to it and he suggested I do it. He even gave me my first turntables. Thanks Enrique P!
What artists do you like to spin?
Anything from the 80’s: Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lime, Manparish, Depeche Mode, New Order…but
I'm big with Tiesto and Armin Van Burren stuff. I like to keep it fun for everyone.
Do you have any particular staple or song that you always play? If so, why?
My remix of Bon Jovi's Bad Name seems to be that song you will catch me playing just so I can get the crowd reaction. It always makes me chuckle to see the reaction it gets anywhere I play it. It’s a great feeling to see the crowd enjoy one of my creations!
What are some artists that have influenced you?
Depeche Mode is on top of the list. Then, I would have to say the rhythms of Tito Puente and the vocals of Sarah Brightman are up there too. As for DJs, Keoki was probably the first DJ I heard play in a nightclub and I was in love with the sound.
What is your favorite city to spin in and why?
Well Miami of course! It's where all the hotties go!
Where do you typically spin in South Florida?
Various places in Miami including the Ultra Music Festival every year and local clubs on the beach.
Do you have any special performances coming up?
I'll be at Dream in Miami on Tuesday, September 1st for a big event. After that it's my big birthday party...I'll keep you guys posted on the location.
